From the Depths to Rest

Psalm 130–131 shows us how God meets us in our guilt, anxiety, grief, and exhaustion. We can cry out to Him honestly, knowing that forgiveness is found not in our performance but in His steadfast love and abundant redemption. Because God forgives, we can hope confidently in His promises and wait for Him like a watchman waits for morning. This forgiveness also leads to a life of humility and rest, as we surrender our need for control and learn to trust that God is enough. Ultimately, this journey from guilt to rest is made possible through Jesus, who bore our sin on the cross so that we could receive mercy—and then share that hope with others.
