WCCW | Winter of 1982 | Pro Wrestling Mini Doc

The Booking of WCCW. I'll probably be a heel with this one for hardcore World Class fans, but WCCW is not up to par in the winter of 1982. Especially coming off of Mid South. The truth is that as great of a booker Gary Hart could be, there was something holding him back during the early part of the year. The something holding him back was the on screen presence of Fritz Von Erich. Fritz was certainly very over in Texas, no denying it, but he was now 52 years old and still the the top face in the territory. The problem with that is a 52 year old was whipping the top heels. Its no coincidence that the territory got hot after the retirement of Fritz and attendance for WCCW would balloon later in 1982 and in 1983. But in the Winter, 52 Year old Fritz was still the man & Kevin and Kerry are pretty awkward. But there is still some good like the heel turn of King Kong Bundy.
