Lettuce is a Boston-based funk band. Their name is said to be derived from the band members asking local venues to "Let us play". Erick "Jesus Coomes is laying it down on Bass. It shows real discipline and experience as a bassist to lay it down with out much variation and let the rest of the band fill in on top of your groove, and that is exactly what Erick did in this tune.
