Stormy Beijing 🇨🇳 | National Art Museum & Exploring Nanluoguxiang Hutongs

Join me for a fascinating day exploring Beijing, China 🇨🇳, from the National Art Museum of China (中国美术馆) to the historic hutongs and lively streets of Nanluoguxiang (南锣鼓巷) — all during some exceptionally stormy Beijing weather! I begin the day at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing's Dongcheng District, where I walk through the galleries and discover some of the art and culture on display. After leaving the museum, I meet up with my friends and we head towards Nanluoguxiang, one of Beijing's best-known historic hutong neighbourhoods. We walk through the traditional streets, browse the shops and experience the atmosphere of everyday Beijing together. Nanluoguxiang and its surrounding hutongs are a wonderful place to see a different side of China's capital away from its enormous modern buildings and famous landmarks. 🌬️ But this wasn't an ordinary day in Beijing... This was filmed in April 2025, when Beijing was experiencing exceptionally strong winds and unusually cold and stormy weather. Walking through the city and the hutongs became an adventure in itself!
