How can WordPress transform education in Uganda? 🌍💻
At the Uganda Website Projects Competition 2026, held at Busoga College Mwiri on 9 June 2026, educators, students and WordPress community members came together for an engaging panel discussion on **WordPress in Education in Uganda**.
Moderated by Rogers Mukalele, the discussion brought together Iputo Emmanuel, Asasira Queen Pinklen, Nabisere Gertrude Nicole and Moses Cursor to explore how WordPress can support practical learning, digital skills development and new opportunities for students and educators.
The panel explored the role of school leadership, student technology clubs, mentorship, access to computers, WordPress community engagement and pathways for learners to gain practical experience.
Students also raised important questions about getting started with WordPress, accessing learning opportunities and earning academic credit through practical contributions.
This conversation comes at an important time as Uganda's WordPress community prepares for the **WordPress in Education Summit in Kaliro on 20 November 2026**.
