Kolkata Pujo Highlights 4 - Prabaser Pujo Parikrama 2025

In this episode we take you to another heritage pujo of Kolkata - the Khelat Bhawan Rajbari which celebrated their 170th pujo this year. We hear about the history of this pujo from Pradipta - the seventh generation descendant of Babu Khelat Chandra Ghosh who did the first puja in 1855. This pujo is all about maintaining traditions. Similarly our next stop in Tridhara Sanmilani in south Kolkata also has a theme of looking back with cave dwellings and art and architecture of Ajanta-Ellora cave style. Our last stop is Nalin Sarkar Street pujo in their 93rd year honoring maestro Salil Choudhury. Celebrating his centennial birthday the theme combines the iconic Saat Bhai Champa song with the downtrodden with the figurines acting in an allegorical way.
