Does your SVG turn into a black box when you upload it to Cricut Design Space? One possible cause is an embedded raster image — such as a PNG or JPG — still sitting inside the SVG file. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to check an SVG in Inkscape, identify whether an object is a bitmap or a true vector path, remove the unwanted raster image, save a clean SVG, and upload it back into Cricut Design Space. You’ll learn: Why a PNG or JPG inside an SVG can cause problems The difference between raster images and vector paths How to identify a bitmap in Inkscape How to check for editable vector nodes How to remove the raster image safely How to save a cleaned SVG for Cricut Design Space Important: An SVG turning black can have several different causes. An embedded raster image is only one possibility. I’ll be covering other causes and fixes in separate Cricut SVG troubleshooting tutorials. If your SVG still won’t upload, display, or cut correctly, I also repair SVG files manually: svgden.online #Cricut #CricutDesignSpace #SVG #Inkscape #SVGRepair #CricutHelp
