It's Your Chestnut Orchard — DO IT HOW YOU WANT

There is a lot of advice out there about growing chestnut trees and starting a chestnut orchard. Some people say you need perfect soil. Others say you need a certain type of chestnut tree, a certain kind of land, or that you have to do things a specific way. But here's what I think: it's your land, and it's your chestnut orchard. In this video, I'm talking about something I've been thinking about after seeing so much information about chestnut trees and chestnut orchards online. There is a lot we can learn from other people, and you absolutely should do your homework before planting an orchard. Learn about chestnut tree varieties, soil requirements, drainage, pollination, planting, fertilizing, watering, and everything else that goes into growing chestnuts. But don't let someone else's idea of the perfect chestnut orchard convince you that you can't try growing chestnuts on the land you already own. My soil certainly isn't perfect, but I'm still growing chestnut trees and building my orchard. And along the way, I've learned that sometimes you have to try different things and figure out what works for you, your trees, and your land. Maybe you have 5 acres. Maybe you have 10 acres. Maybe you have 100 acres. You may not have perfect soil or the perfect property for growing chestnuts, but that doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't give it a try. You don't have to follow everything you hear about chestnut growing to the letter. Learn as much as you can, listen to experienced growers, understand what chestnut trees need, and then make your own decisions. It's your orchard. It's your land. Do what makes you happy. That's what I'm doing here at my chestnut orchard, and I'm going to keep learning, experimenting, and trying different things along the way. If you're interested in growing chestnut trees, planting a chestnut orchard, or simply wondering if you can grow chestnuts on the property you already own, I hope this video gives you some encouragement to give it a try. You don't have to have the perfect land to start. Sometimes you just have to start with the land you have. #DevelopingAFarm #ChestnutTrees #ChestnutOrchard #GrowingChestnuts Subscribe Here - https://www.youtube.com'FoggyRidgeFarm1?sub_confirmation=1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amazon Affiliates Link: Below are the links to the products we used.
