What happens when a woman who's spent fifteen years being "the reliable one" at work decides to do something with no point at all? This is the start of a summer experiment in whimsy, slow living, and un-optimizing a life that looked successful from the outside. If you're a woman in your thirties or forties quietly wondering whether being good at everything cost you something — this one's for you.
In this first episode I'm laying out the whole premise: what whimsy actually means (and why it's not the same as rest or self-care), what I'm allowing myself this summer, what I'm refusing to do, and what I'm honestly afraid will happen when a high-functioning person tries to stop performing.
This channel is about the parts of adult life we don't talk about enough — burnout, ambition, mental health, marriage, friendship, creativity, and figuring out who you are underneath the to-do list.
