Doctor Doom & Loki | Marvel MTG

What if you could experience the Marvel Super Heroes stories through Magic: The Gathering decks? New to Ultimate MTG Deckcrafting? Start here:    • Can Decks Tell Stories? | Intro to Ultimat...   Are you excited for Darkhold Destiny or Avengers Doomsday?? In this episode of Ultimate MTG Deckcrafting, we enter the domain of Doctor Doom with two very different story-driven decks built around one of Marvel’s greatest villains. First, we build Doombots, a 60-card deck devoted to Doctor Doom and his mastery of machines. Doom commands an army of Doombots and technological weapons designed to overwhelm his enemies while capturing the character, imagery, and flavor of Latveria’s infamous ruler. Then we turn to Commander with Doom & Deception, an EDH deck that brings together Doctor Doom, Loki, Ultron, Kang, and even Scarlet Witch and other forces of technological, magical, and multiversal villainy. Rather than focusing on a single character, this deck explores the uneasy alliances, powerful machines, manipulation of time and reality, and multiversal travel that emerge when some of Marvel’s most dangerous minds occupy the same battlefield. Deckcrafting is about finding the perfect home for every card—a deck that brings out the best in its mechanics while using those mechanics to faithfully represent the character, theme, or story behind the card.
