OLD meets NEW!! A day on Merseyrail. BONUS at the end? 4th February 2023

With the new class 777 units coming into service on the Merseyrail Network, I decided to get a Mersey rail Rover ticket , to make the most of the old class 507 /508 units, and also to try out the new 777. With just one new unit in service on the Liverpool Central to Kirkby , there was also one running between Kirkdale and Hillside on driver training?? ( I presume). The locals were certainly getting excited about having new trains!! A bonus at the end, when I stopped at James Street to get a shot of the rarely used platform 2! 4th February 2023
