Bass cover of “Video Killed the Radio Star” by The Buggles. “Video Killed the Radio Star” is packed with everything that makes late-’70s/early-’80s pop so much fun—and underneath all the synths, vocals, and production is a great bass part. If you're learning the Video Killed the Radio Star bass line, hopefully this bass cover and the linked tab help you get it under your fingers! 🎸 BASS TAB: https://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/buggl... 🎵 TUNING: Standard tuning (E–A–D–G) 🎛️ GEAR: Bass: Dingwall D-Roc Effects / Amp Modeling: Darkglass Anagram 💿 SONG TRIVIA: Released by The Buggles in 1979, “Video Killed the Radio Star” has one of the most famous places in music-video history: its music video was the very first video broadcast on MTV when the network launched on August 1, 1981. The song was written by Trevor Horn, Geoff Downes, and Bruce Woolley, and its retro-futuristic lyrics look back at the age of radio while imagining how new technology would transform music. That turned out to be a pretty appropriate song to launch an entirely new era of music television. 🤔 WHY ARE THE TABS AND THE RECORDING A LITTLE DIFFERENT? I use the tabs as a guide, but sometimes make small changes for playing live with a band or borrow variations from how the original artist plays the song live. Getting scrolling tabs to sync perfectly with a performance video can also be tricky, so you may spot a few differences here and there! #VideoKilledTheRadioStar #TheBuggles #BassCover #BassTab #BassGuitar #80sMusic #Dingwall #Darkglass
