Jamshedpur FC’s Tata Steel Era Ends! 🔴⚽
After more than a decade of association, Tata Steel has decided to part ways with Jamshedpur FC. The entire shareholding of Jamshedpur Football & Sporting Pvt. Ltd. is set to be transferred to Goa-based Churchill Brothers for just ₹100.
The Share Purchase Agreement has already been signed, while AIFF approval and other formalities are expected to take around 15 days. The deal reportedly includes Jamshedpur FC’s ISL sporting licence, 12 players and 2 coaches.
If AIFF approves the transfer, Churchill Brothers could replace Jamshedpur FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) next season, opening a new chapter in Indian football.
Tata Group is now looking to focus more on youth development in Indian football, despite the federation requesting them to reconsider their decision.
Meanwhile, Churchill Brothers’ long-standing ambition of playing in the ISL could finally become a reality.
