ਮੈਨੂੰ ਘੜੀਸ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ। Dhruv Rathee ਨੂੰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਗਵਾਹ।

YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has released a video after being detained ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest in Delhi. In his first detailed response, Rathee described the incident as “kidnapping” rather than an arrest, alleging that unidentified people in plain clothes forcibly entered his Gurugram residence and dragged him out of his bedroom. He also claimed that his parents were pushed back, his family’s phones were taken away, and he was denied access to his lawyer. Rathee further challenged reports questioning his Indian citizenship by displaying what he said was his Indian passport. He alleged that he was taken downstairs by force without being given time to put on his slippers and suffered injuries during the incident. Rathee said he was kept in custody for approximately 22–23 hours before being released. These allegations form part of his account of the incident; the circumstances and legality of the police action remain a matter of public debate. At the end of his video, Rathee thanked activist Sonam Wangchuk for demanding the release of detained protesters within 24 hours and warning that he would begin a hunger strike if the demand was not met. The incident comes amid the CJP protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over concerns surrounding electoral-roll revisions.
