Welcome to Victoria, Seychelles 🇸🇨 | City Tour & Local Life | Markets, Culture, Beaches & More Welcome to another episode of my Africa Travel Series! 🌍 My journey to Seychelles began in Karachi, Pakistan, flying with Ethiopian Airlines via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. After a few hours of transit in Addis Ababa, I continued my journey to the beautiful island nation of Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. In my previous vlog, I arrived in Seychelles, checked into my resort, took some rest and had a short city tour. But this vlog is where the real exploration of Seychelles begins! 🇸🇨🌴 🌴 Exploring Victoria, Mahé Island & Local Life After spending the night at my luxurious resort, I started my morning with a breathtaking view of the turquoise ocean and green mountains from the property. My resort was located on a steep hillside, even though the sea was only around half a kilometre away. Because of the steep downhill road, I took a taxi and headed towards the coast to explore more of Mahé Island. I explored the local markets, shops, restaurants, street food, spices, local products, traditional crafts and everyday Seychellois life. I also visited Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market (Victoria Market) and Camion Hall, experiencing the local shopping atmosphere and discovering products made and sold in Seychelles. 🤝 Meeting the People of Seychelles One of the most memorable parts of this journey was meeting the friendly and welcoming people of Seychelles. Sometimes we couldn't fully understand each other's language, but we still managed to communicate through simple words, gestures and smiles. These interactions gave me a wonderful opportunity to experience the real local culture and everyday life of Seychelles. 🕌⛪🛕 Exploring Victoria's Landmarks During my exploration of Victoria, the capital city of Seychelles, I visited several important cultural, religious and historic landmarks, including: • Victoria Clock Tower (Little Ben) • Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market / Victoria Market • Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar Hindu Temple • Victoria Mosque / Sheikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Mosque • Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception • Seychelles National Museum of History • Seychelles Natural History Museum • Seychelles National Botanical Gardens • Bicentennial Monument I also visited the famous Hindu temple and the mosque, where I offered my prayers and met local Muslims. Experiencing the different cultures and communities of Victoria was a special part of this journey. 🏖️ Beautiful Beaches of Mahé After exploring Victoria and the local areas, I headed towards the beautiful beaches of Mahé. The scenery was incredible — soft white sand, crystal-clear turquoise water, dramatic granite mountains, lush palm trees and beautiful hillside resorts overlooking the ocean. I also got to see the famous giant tortoises, making the island experience even more memorable. 🐢🌴 🍽️ Traditional Halal Food in Seychelles After exploring the beaches, I went for dinner at a beautiful open-air hotel/restaurant and tried delicious traditional Seychellois halal food. The food was flavorful and was the perfect way to end an amazing day of exploring Seychelles. ❤️ Seychelles — A Dream Honeymoon Destination With its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, tropical scenery, luxury resorts and peaceful island atmosphere, Seychelles is also a fantastic honeymoon destination. For newly married couples looking for a romantic tropical getaway, Seychelles can feel like a true paradise and a beautiful place to begin a new chapter of life together. 🌙 The Journey Continues As night arrived, it was time to end another unforgettable day in Seychelles. But the journey is not over!
