I HAD TO GO BACK TO ILLIT’S BEGINNING WITH SUPER REAL ME | Reaction

I’ve been spending more time with ILLIT, but I realized I hadn’t gone back to where their music started. Today, we’re changing that with SUPER REAL ME, their first EP, and exploring the four tracks that introduced their sound and personality. The music moves between dreamy textures and playful rhythms, giving each song its own way of introducing us to ILLIT’s world. “My World” opens with a dreamy, slightly offbeat atmosphere and a bouncy groove. It’s a short introduction, but it puts their quirky personality right at the front and sets the tone for the project. “Magnetic” brings that playful energy into a bright, rhythmic track about confidently following your feelings toward a crush. The shifting melodies and catchy vocal hook make that sense of attraction part of the sound itself. “Midnight Fiction” explores their imagination through a warmer, more relaxed atmosphere. Its airy melodies and gentle bounce give the song a late-night feeling, with lyrics inspired by the members’ bedtime fantasies. “Lucky Girl Syndrome” closes the EP with an upbeat rhythm and a positive mindset. It’s about approaching life with the belief that good things are coming your way, bringing a cheerful finish to these four songs. Now that I’m more familiar with ILLIT, going back to their debut gives me more context for the group I’ve been getting to know.
