Roman plays Chopin’s Scherzo No.3 in C sharp minor, op. 39

This is one of Chopin’s most significant and finest works. Written in 1838, it is an overall quite dramatic work and one of four with the title “Scherzo”. There is a lovely middle section with a chorale-like melody, decorated with “filigree passages” which are like “little musical pearls”. This work is considered quite challenging pianistically.
