Saving a Corroded Pokémon Platinum Cartridge | ROM Transplant + Wire Bypass

This Pokémon Platinum cartridge suffered severe corrosion that destroyed much of the original PCB and attacked the legs of the ROM chip itself. Cleaning wasn't going to save this one. I removed the original Pokémon Platinum ROM and transplanted it onto a donor Nintendo DS cartridge PCB. During the repair, one of the badly corroded ROM legs failed completely, so I had to bypass the missing connection with enamel wire. After the transplant, trace repair, and a lot of microscope work, Pokémon Platinum is playable again.
