This journey follows the historic route from Madinah to Badr, covering around 160 kilometres across the mountains, valleys, and desert of the Hijaz. Along the way, we explore the places connected to the journey, the conditions the Companions travelled through, and the events that transformed what began as an attempt to intercept a Quraysh caravan into the Battle of Badr. By travelling the route on horseback, we wanted to understand the journey beyond simply reading about it. What did the landscape look like? How difficult was the journey? Where did they stop? And what would it have felt like approaching Badr without knowing that one of the defining moments in Islamic history was about to unfold? At Badr, we visit the battlefield and explore the events that took place there, the enormous difference between the two armies, and how Allah granted victory to the believers despite what appeared to be impossible odds. This is an attempt to bring the Seerah out of the pages of books and into the landscapes where these events actually happened. #documentary #history #education
