Anti-Rohingya Sentiments Grow In Malaysia As Refugees Face Uncertain Future | Insight

In June, an online petition to expel the Rohingya garnered over 400,000 signatures in Malaysia. For years, Malaysia has offered refuge to Rohingya fleeing persecution in Myanmar. But as refugee numbers grow, anti-Rohingya sentiment has hardened. Now, it has become a politically sensitive challenge for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
