Live or Die - Just one chance...

In this extended footage from Hong Kong, Soke Inoue explains the deeper connection from KATA to real fighting application. The images of ending, fixed postures of kata or match-play of competition kumite can dominate our "karate consciousness" but neither is realistic as it relates to applying karate in a life and death situation. Real application starts "on the way" and is not 1-2 timing, but "1!" from the start through the finish.
