I Walked Into VIT in 2016. I'm Back After 10 Years | Gravitas 2026 | Dhairya Decodes

📌 I walked into VIT in 2016 as a first-year and volunteered at Gravitas. Ten years later, I'm back on the same campus, this time to sit down with the people running it. In this episode, four third-year Gravitas 2026 coordinators join me: Anupraata Das (Electronics & Instrumentation), Sonali (ECE, documentation committee), Samridia (Chemical Engineering) and Tabasam Feros (Biotechnology, pro events committee). We talk about what it really takes to run VIT's official technical fest, what's changed on campus since my time, and why they'd tell every fresher to step out of their comfort zone. In this episode: ✅ Juggling Gravitas with CATs, FATs, projects and quizzes ✅ What really happens behind the scenes: late-night committee meetings and short-notice deadlines ✅ Is the core vs non-core branch banter still alive? ✅ What's changed on campus since 2016 ✅ Skills Gravitas taught them, from Excel macros to going from introvert to extrovert ✅ Advice for shy freshers who want to get involved ✅ Why networking might be the best part of college ✅ "If not now, then when?"
