In April 2016, a robot dove into Loch Ness hunting for the Loch Ness Monster — and nearly 600 feet down, its sonar found a 30-foot shape with a long neck. Was it Nessie? This is the true story of what it was. Then, in 2018, scientists tested the loch's water for DNA, and one animal turned up almost everywhere. From the 1933 sighting that started the legend, to a WWII bomber found by monster hunters, to the "Surgeon's Photo" hoax and the toy submarine that may still be on the bottom, this is what's really down there.
