FRASER-PRYCE'S NEW CLUB SPARKS UNEASE

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is the principal behind a new track and field training club being established in Jamaica in partnership with sporting goods giant Nike. But even as the venture takes shape, unease is reportedly growing in certain quarters of the Jamaican athletics fraternity, with questions being raised about her methods. In this episode of Mr Analyst, Leighton Levy examines the developing story, Nike's commitment to Fraser-Pryce following her retirement, and what her famously exacting standards could mean for the athletes who join the organisation. Could the combination of Fraser-Pryce's championship mentality and Nike's resources produce Jamaica's next great athletics powerhouse? Or will the challenges of leadership and managing relationships complicate her ambitious new venture? The specific reasons behind the reported unease remain unclear, and no wrongdoing has been established.
