Why Ocarina of Time 2026 is the PERFECT Remake!

Ocarina of Time on Switch 2, not quite a 1:1 Remake, and not quite a full reimagining either - this is something new! Nintendo finally gave us the full reveal of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake on Switch 2, the retold version for 2026! The most obvious change is the incredible new visuals, a complete stunning overhaul that introduces and updated art style and brand new looks for some of the most iconic Zelda characters and locations of all time! We also get new features and abilities, that allow us to explore and experience Hyrule better than ever before! Most importantly for me though we get to see new Level Design philosophies that don't betray the original intent of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on N64. All of this results in possibly the most exceptionally well balanced remake, not only for Zelda and the Switch 2 but across the games industry as a whole - but to fully know we'll have to wait until The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches exclusively on Switch 2 on the 5th November 2026.
