It’s decades since he heard the words from the Master, “Follow me.” The fisherman is now an old sage, the remaining apostle who addresses his spiritual children in simple, yet profound words. Woven throughout John’s three formal letters called “epistles” are important themes: Life, Light, Love. And John uses these words to vividly shape what it means to genuinely follow Jesus.
