Tom Cousins Purpose Built Communities

Tom Cousins of Purpose Built Communities, the man who sparked the holistic community revitalization movement, will provide an overview of his family's philanthropic journey, inspiring others to join in the groundbreaking initiatives that are transforming communities across the nation. Joining him will be Greg Giornelli from Purpose Built Communities and Mike & Gillian Goodrich, of the Mike and Gillian Goodrich Foundation. Through their foundation, they are leading the charge in Birmingham to transform the city's Woodlawn neighborhood into a vibrant and sustainable community. Together, these thought leaders will share how they are managing challenges of transitions and governance within their own family foundations -- as well as how they developed a powerful partnership that crosses state borders.
