This great looking Bo’Bo’s locomotive No. 520 was made by Davenport Besler works in the US, and is one of 30, No. 511-540, being received in 1952-55 These locos had a single Caterpillar D397 twelve cylinder engines producing 500hp at 1200rpm with a maximum speed of 75 km/hr. This locomotive was filmed on 13 June 2018 at Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) station where it is still used for shunting duties 63 years after being supplied to the State Railway of Thailand. This rare loco is one of only a handful of Bo'Bo's still running in Thailand and it still looks and sounds in relatively good condition! If you look carefully, at 22 seconds from the start you will see a flash in the engine bay as the batteries arch across the terminals!
