In this 2-part music theory series, we break down every single chord in music, from basic triads and far beyond. 📥 Download the handwritten notes, staff notation & MIDI, and support human-made piano lessons on Patreon 🎼✨ ➡️   / how-to-name-part-94595718   Jason Zac from Nathaniel School of Music looks at naming conventions from the point of view of musicality rather than complexity — the way we sometimes over-complicate things. You'll learn about diminished, suspended, dominant, add, tension, 6th, 7th, quartal and modal chords, always keeping their voicing and root notes (bass) in mind. Look out for quiz questions along the way that help you revise the concepts as you go. 🏫 Courses, Workshops or Private lessons ➡️ https://forms.gle/fsbhFKSgJbZ5xZEr8 00:00 Introduction 00:59 CHORD NAMING Step by Step! 04:39 Trick to Play minor 9th Chord 06:22 What is a POLY CHORD 06:42 Playing minor 11th using Poly Chord 10:08 Trick to play Dom7 (#9) on Piano 11:55 Trick to play Dom7 (b9) on Piano 15:46 How to Name Dominant Based Extended Chords 19:15 6/9 Chord 20:12 Slash Chords (Poly) 21:16 Quartal Chords 22:50 Conclusion ============================= 📹 Our Video Courses (Everything for Life Bundle) ➡️ https://learn-music.nathanielschool.com/ 🎹 Piano Courses & Private Lessons ➡️ https://piano.nathanielschool.com ============================= ▶️ Related Lessons & Playlists 🎵 Music Theory lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/PianoTheory 🎹 All our lessons on Chord Inversions (Playlist) ➡️    • Piano Chord Voicings & Inversions — Make A...   👂 Ear Training lessons ➡️ https://geni.us/EarTraining ============================= 🎓 Learn Music with Nathaniel School of Music & Jason Zac ➡️ https://nathanielschool.com 📚 All our YouTube lessons (1000+) by skill level, topic & genre ➡️ https://learning-portal.nathanielscho... ============================= 💰 Donate on PayPal ➡️ https://geni.us/DonatePayPal 📸 Instagram ➡️   / jasonzac   📞 +91 77604 56847 (Mobile & WhatsApp) 📧 Customised & Private Classes ➡️ music@nathanielschool.com 🎧 Listen to Jason Zac Music ➡️ https://riffs.jasonzacmusic.com/ #ExtendedChords #ChordNames #MusicTheory Continue this lesson series Part 1: naming chords and their extensions —    • How to Name All Those FANCY Chords (Comple...
