We Flew Into Remote Alaska to Fish… So Did the Bears

We took our first-ever float-plane ride into remote Alaska for a day of fishing at beautiful Crescent Lake—and this ended up being one of our favorite adventures of the trip. Flying out of Soldotna, Alaska, we headed into Crescent Lake to fish for Dolly Varden, lake trout and those incredible bright-red sockeye I'd been hoping to see. But it didn't take long to realize we weren't the only ones there looking for fish. 🐻 Between the float plane, glacier-fed blue water, fishing, bears and one last Alaska surprise at the end of the day... this was definitely worth giving up our rest day!
