In this special episode, I'm joined by my twin sister, Teah, for an honest, funny, and personal conversation about sisterhood, growing up as twins, and the expectations people place on sibling relationships. People often assume twins are automatically best friends, talk every day, think alike, enjoy the same things, and somehow always know what the other person is thinking. Well...Teah and I have a few things to say about that! 😂 We talk openly about: • What people misunderstand about being twins • Loving each other while having very different personalities • Being close growing up and how relationships change through different seasons • Having different interests, opinions, and ways of handling life • Remembering the same childhood experiences differently • The emotional moment when Teah left for college and we had to experience life apart • Why siblings don't have to be exactly alike to have a meaningful bond • Learning to accept each other for who we really are One thing this conversation reminded me of is that two people can grow up in the same home, with the same parents, and still experience life very differently. Different doesn't necessarily mean wrong. And being family doesn't mean we have to think alike, respond alike, or experience everything the same way. Sometimes healthy relationships begin when we stop expecting people to be who we think they should be and start accepting them for who they actually are.
