One Entire Block Food Court & Another. Eunos used to be a Malay settlement named Kampong Melayu. Kampong Melayu was built by nationalist and “father” of modern Malay journalism, Mohamed Eunos Bin Abdullah. Kampong Melayu was later renamed Kampong Eunos to pay tribute to the legacy of the late Mr Eunos. Eunos Crescent Market & Food Centre is not big, just some 50 food stalls but some of its stalls are top of my mind for some of my favourite hawker dishes. The food stalls at Eunos Crescent Market and Food Centre reflect the strength of Singapore’s hawker culture, where each stall usually focuses on a small number of dishes and prepares them well. This approach keeps the food consistent, fresh, and familiar, which is exactly what regular diners appreciate. You can expect a good mix of stalls selling rice meals, noodles, light snacks, drinks, desserts, and breakfast items.
