~ Now this I Iike! with not much known about this san francisco band i'll list here their names that someone may have more information on? ...Tamara jassman/eugene johnson/jorge pomar/richard cuada/carlos barreda with special guests steve o'hara /scott lawrence... they released just one faith based album 'jacob's ladder' - 'if i had a wish...' lovejoy productions 1976...recorded at the john altman studios 'sunset studios' in the sunset district its a long time favourite of mine in 'faith based' records....this track in particular has a beautiful laid back '67 vibe that captures the smell of incense and patchouli oil in a warm evening's air...producer john altman owned and ran the studio who after leaving school worked for the Mills college centre where a fasination for tape and tape editing led to a career in sound & as a side bar he did rent at one time the grateful deads Ampex tape deck for $100 a month!!!! if anyone has further information please comment below...P.S. Just received the following information from our friends over at '45s US' channel who have informed me that two members jorge pomar & carlos 'manuel' barreda' were previously with a Peruvian psychedelic band 'Los Shains' but you have to ask how on earth did they turn up in San Francisco? check out the album cover for their album 'Docena 3' from '68 where their photo's are shown!!! but the plot thickens...thank you again Andrea for the fine detective work...any further comments below please...
