E36 Fully Automatic Convertible Top Strut Shock Repair Instructions

I couldn't find a video on how to do this so I tried to make my own. Its pretty choppy but should get the job done. Tools needed, Flat head, pick set, plastic pry bar for trim. This repair will reduce the stress on the convertible top motors. I performed the repair without disengaging the motors but you could pull the top release and do it with them disengaged if you wanted. Some stress on the motor happens when the top is hyperextended but mine was fine. Replacing one BMW Support Shock STB-4482KE And two BMW Convertible Top Cover Strut STB-8056LV
