What happened to Brindavan Express on 6th may 2026 ?? The Brindavan Express departed from MAS (Chennai Central) at 7:45 AM as scheduled. While cruising at speeds close to 130 km/h, the Loco Pilot noticed abnormal issues in the locomotive. After reaching AJJ (Arakkonam Junction), the crew inspected the loco and discovered that one of the pantographs was damaged. Due to the pantograph failure, the locomotive was unable to draw power from the overhead equipment and could not proceed further, resulting in a complete loco failure. To avoid further delays, a relief locomotive was arranged from AJJ Shed. AJJ WAG-9 was attached to the Legendary Brindavan Express and hauled the train for the remaining journey toward SBC (KSR Bengaluru City Junction).
