Mefjus & Maksim MC – Dopamine Hits (Serum2 remake)

I remade Mefjus & Maksim MC – Dopamine Hits from scratch to learn sound design. Every sound in the remake was made in Serum 2. In this video I go through how I rebuilt the drums and bass, how I compare my sounds with the original, and how my mentor IJENTA mastered the project. What's inside: • The remake playing in the context of the original track • The base project before mastering • Drums: kick and snare made from pitched sine waves and matched to the original waveforms • My comparison workflow: Pro-Q 3 EQ Match, MSED for stereo checks, Ozone Imager • Bass: the icanhaskick wavetable, pitch and distortion automation, Ableton Saturator, kHs Distortion for width • Mastering by IJENTA: MBassador, kick and snare layering, ShaperBox, soothe2, limiting Chapters: 0:00 Intro 0:05 The remake in context 0:40 Before mastering 1:06 Drums 5:19 Pro-Q 3, MSED, Ozone Imager 7:20 Bass 13:43 Mastering by IJENTA Mastering: IJENTA –    / @ijentamusic   Original track: Mefjus & Maksim MC – Dopamine Hits –    • Mefjus & Maksim MC - Dopamine Hits   The mastering project was made in FL Studio. I converted it to Ableton Live with my own project converter to make it easier to show. This remake was made for educational purposes only.
