Here is the Full English Dubbed version of “Solar Miracle Make Up” from Sera Myu/the Sailor Moon Musicals! As always, I never use any autotune software to alter or process my voice. I hope my natural voice does the song justice–humanness and all. As much as I wanted to feature our Anza Moon in this one I wasn’t able to find a video with good resolution so please enjoy Marina-tachi’s performance. I got SO many requests for this song, but to be honest the main reason I’m getting to it so soon is because I saw it performed at Sailor Moon Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo as part of the second term service numbers. The first term featured “La Soldier” which I had already covered, so it was so nice to be able to sing along. I didn’t have that feeling the second time–I wasn’t as familiar with “Solar Miracle Make Up” or “Music of The Spheres” and felt like a fake fan. That said, they were both BOPS and I knew the second I finished “Brilliant Justice” I’d be working on dubbing these two songs. …and then I looked at the lyrics and contemplated my life. Wrestling with the random English haphazardly thrown into the older Sera Myu/Sailor Moon songs is such a battle, and Solar Miracle Make Up was no different. Despite my struggles, I hope what I came up with makes for an English dub that everyone will like as much as I do.
