Psalm 4 – “Peace in the Midst of Distress” | A Night Prayer of Trust in God

A Night Prayer of Trust in God In this video, we meditate deeply on Psalm 4, a powerful evening prayer of King David that teaches us how to find peace, confidence, and trust in God even when life feels uncertain or filled with turmoil. Psalm 4 reminds us that true peace doesn’t come from wealth, fame, or success, but from the assurance that God hears our prayers and answers with His love. This psalm is often called the “Night Psalm” because it helps us rest peacefully, knowing that the Lord alone makes us dwell in safety. Through this reflection, we will walk verse by verse — uncovering the meaning of David’s heartfelt cry, his confrontation with the faithless, and his serene confidence in the righteousness of God. As you listen, allow the words of Psalm 4 to quiet your heart, calm your thoughts, and strengthen your faith. Whether you are burdened by anxiety, searching for rest, or simply wishing to pray before sleep, this reflection will guide you into the presence of God’s peace. May this psalm remind us that even in our darkest moments, God listens, God protects, and God grants peace beyond understanding. Let us learn to lie down in peace and trust that the Lord will take care of all things.
