The weaver community, once the pride of Bhagalpur, is now struggling to survive. Lallantop Chunav Yatra reached the lanes of Bhagalpur to meet the silk weavers who keep this centuries-old craft alive. They share stories of poverty, neglect, and broken promises. With little government support, rising costs, and shrinking demand, many are forced to abandon their looms. The weavers talk about their hopes from CM Nitish Kumar and the central government, their expectations this election season, and what it really means to live in the “Silk City” today.
