LDF leader Manoj Mamala has strongly criticized the recent orders issued by the district administration in Idukki, alleging that they are part of a calculated move by the UDF government to drive out high-range farmers and sabotage title deed (pattayam) distribution. Speaking about the district administration's restrictions regarding elephant corridors and night-time movement near forest borders—issued around the time of the Chief Minister's visit—Mamala claimed these measures mirror strict regulations seen in the Nilgiris and are aimed at restricting farmers and undermining land rights.
