'Viking Vela' Passenger Cruise Ship passing through Greenwich

This is 'Viking Vela', a 2 year old cruise ship that was making its way to Dover through the Greenwich Peninsula yesterday. I was planning to post a different kind of transport on here, but I ended up finding this yesterday, so I guess we'll introduce ships here! I've not had as big of an interest in boats as I have in buses and trains, but I when I was told by a cable car staff member that the cable car was temporarily closed due to a large ship passing underneath it, I decided to go and photograph it. Something hits different about seeing a cruise ship like this pass through on the Thames, so I'm glad I happened to get there at just the right time :) 🚢 Passenger Cruise Ship 🔢 IMO: 9852432 🏷 Viking Vela 📍 Greenwich Peninsula, Greenwich 🗓 15th Sep 2026 #vikingvela #cruiseship
