Hinter dem Skigebiet beginnt die Wildnis! | Katzenkopf 2.535 m

Von Gmünd bei Gerlos geht es mit dem E-MTB hoch hinauf in die Kitzbüheler Alpen. Nach rund 1.200 Höhenmetern verlasse ich die Liftanlagen der Zillertal Arena und tauche ein in die Wilde Krimml – eine wilde und erstaunlich einsame Bergwelt. Vom Langensee auf etwa 2.200 m geht es zu Fuß weiter zum Katzenkopf auf 2.535 m. Oben wartet bei klarer Herbstluft ein gewaltiges Panorama mit Großglockner, Großvenediger, Zillertaler Alpen und Hohen Tauern. Auf dem Rückweg geht es noch mit dem Bike auf den Isskogel 2.265 m. After around 1,200 metres of climbing by E-MTB, I leave the lifts and ski slopes of the Zillertal Arena behind and enter the *Wilde Krimml* – a wild and surprisingly remote mountain landscape. From Langensee at around 2,200 m, I continue on foot to the **Katzenkopf at 2,535 m**. Waiting at the summit: incredible autumn weather, crystal-clear air and spectacular views towards the **Großglockner, Großvenediger, Zillertal Alps and Hohe Tauern**.
