This video tells the inspiring story of Bhakta Dhruva, a young prince whose unwavering determination, devotion, and faith earned him an eternal and immovable place in the heavens. Dhruva was the son of King Uttanapada and Queen Suniti. One day, when he tried to sit on his father’s lap, his stepmother Queen Suruchi insulted him and declared that he was not worthy of the king’s affection or throne. Even more painful was the silence of his father, who did not defend him. Heartbroken, Dhruva went to his mother. Instead of teaching him anger or revenge, Queen Suniti advised him to seek refuge in Lord Narayana. Inspired by her words, the five-year-old prince left the palace and entered the forest, determined to find God and attain a position that no one had ever received before. On his journey, Dhruva met Devarshi Narada, who tested his resolve and then guided him toward the sacred forest of Madhuvana. Narada gave him the powerful mantra: “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.” Dhruva began severe penance, gradually giving up fruits, leaves, water, and finally even his dependence on air. Standing on one leg, he fixed his mind completely on Lord Vishnu. His meditation became so powerful that it affected all three worlds. Pleased by Dhruva’s devotion, Lord Vishnu appeared before him in His magnificent divine form, holding the conch, discus, mace, and lotus. At that moment, Dhruva realized that the kingdom, recognition, and honor he had once desired were insignificant compared with the priceless blessing of seeing God. He understood: “I came searching for pieces of glass, but I have found a priceless jewel.” Lord Vishnu blessed Dhruva with a long and righteous reign and granted him an eternal place in the heavens—Dhruva Loka, the symbol of stability, determination, and unwavering devotion. The story of Dhruva teaches us that age is no barrier to spiritual greatness.
