SEGA Superstars | SEGA's Forgotten Crossover Series - TopHatOnline

Before PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, before Dissidia Final Fantasy, hell before Fortnite, there was the SEGA Superstars series of games, which is SEGA's answer to Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series, featuring Jet Set Radio, NiGHTS, Billy Hatcher, and Sonic in various activities such as parties, tennis, and kart-racing! ...Then all of the sudden, SEGA abandoned it after 4 games. So, sit back, inmate, as I share my experience, thoughts, and opinions playing through (almost) all 4 of the games SEGA completely forgot about since the past decade. CHAPTER LIST: 0:00 - Intro & Origin of SEGA Superstars 1:31 - SEGA Superstars (looks better than Sonic Free Riders) 1:59 - SEGA Superstars Tennis ("I mean, it's alright, like...") 2:48 - Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing (the PEAK of SEGA) 5:30 - Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (An okay game with mixed results..) 11:09 - Team Sonic Racing (DOESN'T COUNT) 11:18 - Closing Thoughts & Outro NOTE: I wanted to do a Team Sonic Racing section, but I decided not to because it would feel a little awkward adding that game into the list given that it's 100% Sonic and 0% SEGA. Plus, Sumo Digital and Sonic Team wanted to focus less on the SEGA All-Stars aspect of TSR and decided to uograde Racing Transformed's engine to "expand" the Sonic world and characters when making this game, but to me, it expanded nothing, really...just another kart-racer from Sonic that came and went when it was released in 2019. :/ Thanks for sticking around, inmate! I appreciate it more if you subscribe to my channel for more interesting and sinister content like this! I'm usually on an unscheduled basis, but I'll make sure to give you guys what you needed!
