Stardate YC128.04.13 – Southern Coast, Intaki Prime The fleet is over. Comms are finally quiet. No anchor calls, no weapon checks, no last-second warps, no voices layered over voices while adrenaline keeps the body moving long after the danger is gone. I took a shuttle down to Intaki Prime. No grand reason. No assignment. No objective. Just the need to leave the station behind for a while and sit somewhere real — somewhere untouched by steel bulkheads, capacitor warnings, and the dull vibration of docking bays. Now I’m here, alone on a quiet stretch of beach, boots half-buried in warm sand, watching the tide roll in beneath a pale evening sky. The waves come in slow and steady, one after another, washing away the noise that still lingers in my head. The salt in the air feels strange after recycled atmosphere. Honest. Clean. Alive. Somewhere above me, beyond the clouds, my ship is still waiting. Scarred, rearmed, ready for the next fleet. But down here, none of that matters for a little while. Here, there is only the ocean. The wind. The soft hiss of water folding over the shore.
