Court clears way for Taifa gas project

The Taifa Gas Special Economic Zone Limited project got a reprieve after the environmental and land court dismissed a petition challenging the construction of a 16 billion LPG gas terminus at Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone in Likoni. The project by a launched by President William Ruto in February 2023, that is expected to make cooking gas affordable, will now continue, opening the window for more investors to bid at the 1,000-acre piece of land available under the Kenya Ports Authority.
