The Agreement From Before the Light Listen and read the lyrics: https://pgsongs.com/before-the-light/... Before there was a Tuesday Before there was a why Three voices in the timeless Made a promise that won't die The Father said, I give them The Son said, I will go The Spirit said, I'll seal them And the deal was struck below no roof at all It was settled, it was sworn Before a single day was born My name was in the language Of an everlasting word Not a gamble, not a guess Not a maybe, not unless The Three had already saved me Before the saving could be heard I never signed the paper I was never in the room But the One who is three Persons Made a covenant through the gloom Where freewillers see a courtroom And a deal that I could break The framework finds a promise That the Promiser would keep, for His own sake It was settled, it was sworn Before a single day was born My name was in the language Of an everlasting word Not a gamble, not a guess Not a maybe, not unless The Three had already saved me Before the saving could be heard What love agrees in private And tells you years too late The rescue was decided While you were still a thought, a date It was settled, it was sworn Before a single day was born My name was in the language Of an everlasting word Not a gamble, not a guess Not a maybe, not unless The Three had already saved me And the saving holds, The saving holds
