Roma Lecsó at Jai Bhim, Sajókaza

This Lecsó was cooked by the Romani men taking part in a bricklaying course initiated by the Jaibhim Centre in Sajókaza, NE Hungary in the summer, 2009. They wanted to celebrate their lunch borrowing from the centre's kitchen essential tools like a cauldron, a wooden spoon & kitchen knives & collected wood to make a stick fire. They brought their peppers, onions & tomatoes & bought Kolbasz sausages to add to the paprika stew. They then shared this delicious meal out amongst themselves, centre staff & us guests having stayed in the garden of the centre in our van for a long time!!
