Journey to Islam Stories presents the inspiring journey of Sister Monica, a Swedish woman who embraced Islam at the age of 22 after growing up in a Protestant Christian family. From a young age, Monica began questioning the concept of the Trinity. Her questions were not welcomed by those around her, but she continued searching for answers. After encountering Muslims at school and noticing their character and way of life, she became curious about Islam and eventually began reading a Swedish translation of the Qur’an. She describes how the Qur’an spoke directly to her heart and strengthened her belief in the oneness of God. She eventually embraced Islam, despite opposition from her family and friends. Her journey did not end with her conversion. She later wore hijab, learned Arabic largely by herself, taught her children about Islam, lived in Lebanon for a period, and faced hostility and Islamophobia in Sweden. This is a powerful story of faith, questioning, perseverance, and finding Islam.
