Skyline Drive | Bear Cub Hit Accident Video (POW: One Behind Me)

Bear Cub Incident @21:45 Video shot on my friend's bike. I am to the left. On our way back from Snowshoe trip, we took the Skyline Drive in VA and a black bear cub launched himself under my girlfriend's GS. The cub hit his head on her rear tyre - there was nothing she could've done - and knocked himself out, swerving my way, I didn't hit it, it miraculously swerved around my tyres - I felt no bump. We stopped, turned back and blocked the traffic until he regained consciousness. His right front wrist seemed to be hurt - there was no blood on him and he limped a little then ran up the slope into the forest. We had passed a rest stop about 5 miles and I asked the driver of the car going in that direction to stop by the rangers and tell them about the location and the injured bear cub. And we went on our way. Funny enough, about half an hour earlier, we had seen another black bear, waiting by the side of the road. It waited until all traffic cleared and proceeded to cross the road. Hopefully this little cub's injury heals fast. I didn't want to touch him or scare him so I kept my hands to myself. And the other rider (Joe) told me to watch out for his mother who might be around before he took off to block the traffic on the other direction down the road. i. cem onur
